Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the usefulgeeks.com website (the "Site") and the tech support services (the "Services") provided by Useful Geeks LLC ("Useful Geeks," "we," "us," or "our"), a Georgia limited liability company based in Douglasville, GA. By contacting us, scheduling a service, or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Useful Geeks provides on-site computer, Wi-Fi, smart home, and TV/home theater support within Douglasville and Douglas County, Georgia (including Lithia Springs, Winston, Villa Rica, Austell, Powder Springs, Mableton, and Hiram), and remote IT support for small businesses regardless of location. There is no online booking calendar — appointments are arranged by text, call, or email.

2. Pricing & Estimates

Pricing for residential visits starts at an $89 minimum, and business/remote engagements are scoped and priced individually. You will always be given a price before any work begins — there is no open-ended hourly billing without your agreement.

3. Deposits, Payment & Cancellations

  • A deposit may be required to reserve your appointment. Any deposit is applied toward the final invoice for completed work.
  • Full payment is due at the time service is completed, unless otherwise agreed in writing, by whatever payment method we agree on for that engagement.
  • You may cancel or reschedule at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations or no-shows with less than 24 hours' notice forfeit the deposit.
  • If we're unable to resolve the issue you booked us for, you will not be charged for that repair, consistent with the pricing promise on our Site. This does not apply to separate issues discovered during the same visit, or to visits where a device is found to be beyond reasonable repair and we advise against further work.

4. Your Responsibilities

You're responsible for providing accurate contact and service information, ensuring safe and lawful access to the property and device(s) needing service, and backing up your important data before any visit. Useful Geeks is not responsible for data loss, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

5. Pre-Existing Conditions & Assumption of Risk

Many devices we're asked to work on already have existing wear, damage, or failing components (aging batteries, degraded hard drives, loose connectors, prior liquid damage, and similar) that may not be apparent until service begins. You acknowledge that such pre-existing conditions can surface, worsen, or cause a device to fail during or shortly after a visit through no fault of ours, and you assume that risk. We are not liable for the failure of components that were already failing, damaged, or at the end of their usable life before we began work.

6. No Warranty

Services are provided on an as-is basis. We do not guarantee that a device or issue will remain fixed indefinitely, particularly where the underlying hardware is failing or aging. Any specific warranty on parts or labor will be communicated to you in writing at the time of service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Useful Geeks' total liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost profits, or lost time, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Useful Geeks LLC, its owner, and any subcontractors from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of: (a) inaccurate or incomplete information you provide to us, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your misuse of any device, network, or account we access at your request. This does not apply to claims arising from our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9. Site Use

The Site and its content (text, images, logos) are owned by Useful Geeks LLC or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting to interfere with its normal operation or security.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Douglas County, Georgia.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any written estimate or invoice provided for a specific service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Useful Geeks regarding the Services, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous verbal understandings.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use our Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
