Privacy Policy

Effective August 30, 2026

Useful Geeks LLC ("Useful Geeks," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices, when you visit usefulgeeks.com (the "Site") or use our services — on-site tech help for homeowners, remote IT support for small businesses, or website design, hosting, and site care.

1. Information You Provide to Us

When you contact us by phone, text message, or email to ask about or arrange a service, we collect the information you choose to share — which may include your name, phone number, email address, service or business address, and a description of the work you need done. We use this information to respond to you, schedule and perform the requested service, and follow up afterward (for example, to confirm an appointment or check that work is holding up).

2. Information We Access When Providing Website, Hosting & IT Services

Building and maintaining a website, or supporting a business's IT, means we're sometimes trusted with access most vendors don't need — hosting accounts, domain registrar and DNS settings, site source code, and administrative access to business accounts and systems (for example, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) as part of the engagement.

We access only what's needed to build, deploy, host, secure, and maintain the service in question, and we do not use that access for any purpose beyond it. Domains are registered in the client's name, not ours. Unless a client separately and explicitly asks us to handle it in writing, we do not access, collect, or store a business client's own customers' personal or financial information — for example, a website client's own customer records, tax documents, or payment details are outside the scope of hosting and maintaining their site, and we don't touch them.

3. How We Handle Payment

We do not process payments through the Site. Payment for services is arranged directly between you and Useful Geeks, using whatever method we agree on for that engagement.

4. Automatically Collected Information (Analytics)

When you visit the Site, we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you interact with the Site. We use this information in aggregate to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it. Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC; you can learn more about how Google handles this data at Google's Privacy & Terms site, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to inquiries and arrange service
  • Perform the tech support, website, or IT services you request
  • Build, host, secure, and maintain a client's website or business systems, where that's the engagement
  • Communicate with you about your service or engagement
  • Understand and improve how the Site is used

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers who help us operate the business — currently Google Analytics (site analytics), plus the hosting providers and domain registrars needed to run a given client's website — and only to the extent needed for them to provide that service, or when required by law.

7. Confidentiality of Business & Client Access

Where we hold credentials or administrative access to a client's hosting account, domain, email, or business systems, that access is used only to provide the contracted service. We don't share it, repurpose it, or use it for any other client's benefit, and we take reasonable measures to keep it secure.

8. Data Retention

We keep the information you provide, and any credentials or access entrusted to us, for as long as needed to perform the service or engagement, maintain business and tax records, and comply with legal obligations. Access to a client's systems is removed or handed back at the end of an engagement, and other information is deleted or securely discarded once it's no longer needed.

9. Your Choices

You can decline to provide information by not contacting us, though we may not be able to arrange or perform a service without it. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time, though some Site features may not work as intended.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
